Eagle Lake is located in Lassen County just north of Susanville, Ca. in the northeastern corner of the state. From Sacramento or the Bay Area, take Highway 80 east to Reno, Nv. From Reno take Highway 395 north to Susanville.

Eagle Lake can be reached via Highways 36 and 44 from the west.

In Susanville there are two turnoffs for Eagle Lake.  To reach the north end of the lake and Mariners Resort, take Highway 139 north.  To reach the south end of the lake and the community of Spalding, take Highway A-1 north.
