Who We Are
Fish Traveler Guide Service

Fish Traveler Guide Service is operated by Eagle Lake residents, Tim and Maribeth Noxon from their home in the community of Spalding, located the lake's west shore. Tim began operating Fish Traveler Guide Service in 1994, when he became a licensed, California Fishing Guide.

One visit to Eagle Lake convinced the Fish Traveler that this was the place to set up permanent operations. Prior to that, Tim guided on many northern California lakes including: Bullards Bar Res., Stampede Res., Boca Res., Lake Davis, Frenchman Lake, Amador Lake, New Melones Res., Lake Parde, and Folsom Lake.

We visited Eagle Lake for the first time in early September of 2000, and we both fell in love with the place.

"We were impressed by the quality and quantity of the Eagle Lake Rainbow Trout as well as the serenity of the area."

“If you get a chance to stop by, bring your fishing rods and I'll help you rig them up the way we do for Eagle Lake Trout.”

We were very impressed with the size, quantity, and quality of the trout we caught during that visit, not to mention the beautiful natural lake, its wildlife and how undeveloped the area was. It was quickly settled that Fish Traveler Guide Service would become a one lake operation during the Eagle Lake fishing season. (The Saturday preceeding Memorial Day through December 31.)

The Fish Traveler fishes Eagle Lake every day, all season long. If you need advice or help or have questions about how to fish here, please give us a call or stop by. We can also offer information on lodging, camping, as well as R.V. and trailer sites.
